About Us

Georgia Women's Club Hockey was founded in 2021 with the mission of "growing the game" for ALL women, particularly in the southeast. By creating an encouraging environment for all women, Georgia Women's Club Hockey aims to empower women to grow their hockey skills or to try hockey for the first time, and become confident in the hockey player they are on and off the ice. The club welcomes all hard-working, determined, and passionate women, no matter their skill level.

The University of Georgia attracts students from not just the United States, but all around the world. The team strives to grow the sport of hockey in the southeastern United States by providing young women the opportunity to play hockey at the collegiate level.  The dream, however, is beyond playing the game. UGA Women’s Hockey Club hopes to create an encouraging and uplifting, yet competitive, environment that allows young women to realize their full potential.

Georgia Women's Hockey is currently part of the DII Women's Ice Hockey Division in the College Hockey South conference.

The University of Georgia women's club hockey team played their historic first game in October of 2022 against Auburn University.
